Description:

The Model 1875 was manufactured from 1875 to 1889 and was Remington's first main attempt to compete with Colt and Smith & Wesson in the "Army" revolver market. This example is chambered in the desirable .44-40 WCF caliber. The loading gate is numbered to the gun. The left grip panel is factory stamped "44 W" for .44-40 WCF.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining 80% original nickel plating with a smooth untouched gray patina on the balance. The grips are fine with minor handling marks and clear caliber marking. Mechanically excellent.
