Manufactured in 1898. The barrel has the one-line Hartford address on top and "38 W.C.F." on the left side. A circled Rampant Colt logo is stamped on the left side of the frame. The cylinder is numbered to the gun ("322").

Fine, retaining 50% original blue finish with a smooth brown-gray patina on the balance and a series of small dings ahead of the ejector rod housing. The grips are excellent showing very minimal minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically functions fine, although the cylinder does not lock properly. A fine antique Colt Model 1878 DA revolver.
