Description:

Sword cane with wood shaft made to look like bamboo and housing a 28 1/2 inch etched floral blade marked "FABRICA DE TOLEDO" at the base on one side, and a round silver ball handle with eight swirling segments that give the handle an appearance of motion. A retention hook is integrated into the grip, and controlled by rotating the grip. Metal ferrule at the base. Provenance: The Larry Mattson Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good with some handling marks, chips, and an attractive silver handle. The blade shows some light spotting overall, along with good detail in the etching and strong finish. The retention mechanism occasionally sticks.
