Manufactured in 1962. Spezial Laufstahl barrels with single white bead sight on the matted solid rib, "J.P. SAUER & SOHN/MADE IN W. GERMANY/Spezial Laufstahl Bochumer Verein" marked on both barrels with the addition of "Royal" and "20/70/2 3/4"" on the left above and below respectively, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors, and chokes marked half/full. The casehardened, sideclipped, scalloped boxlock action features scroll engraving surrounding Sauer banners on either side, double triggers, and automatic tang mounted safety switch. Nicely figured, fancy skip-line checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings and Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and plastic grip cap and serrated "SAUER" marked buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 9/16 inch drop at comb; 2 9/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 3 oz.

Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and 95% plus original casehardened finishes, minor handling evidence, layer of varnish on much of the action, and sharp checkering on the wood. Mechanically excellent.
