Manufactured in 1939. Wide blade front and square notch flat top rear sights, with the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, the National Match nomenclature on the right and a Schwartz patent firing pin safety. The Government Model frame is marked "P/VP" on the left side of the trigger guard and "60" on the right, with a short milled trigger, wide checkered hammer, arched checkered mainspring housing and grips, post-World War II replacement barrel, and "COLT/45 AUTO" marked two-tone magazine. Very fine, retains 85% plus of the period refinished blue finish with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily on some edges and the mainspring housing, as well as a few scattered patched of rough brown oxidation. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
