Operating out of his home workshop in California, John Martz is best known for his alterations and upgrades of Luger and P-38 pistols. Working with all manner of military, police and commercial Lugers as a base, the Baby Luger features a short barrel, in conjunction with a frame that has been cut and reshaped to give the signature Luger grip profile in a more compact form. This particular Baby draws components from a DWM 1916 P.08 military Luger and integrates the Martz Safe Toggle Release system. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "1916" and imperial military proofs on the chamber and "JVM" and "42" under the side plate. The barrel, rear toggle link and grips are unnumbered, and the magazines are mixed; otherwise, all visible numbers match. The grips are two-piece construction, with a thin horizontal seam line and well executed checkering. Two properly sized magazines are included, both with wood bases, one with a nickel finished stamped body and the other a bright polished drawn tube body. The black leather holster is sized to match the pistol, with "13" and "GALE C. MORGAN" stamped on the back and an unmarked blued takedown tool inside.

Very fine as professionally built by John Martz. A few traces of original blue are present on the interior, with the exterior showing a custom bright polished appearance with minor spotting and handling marks. The grips are fine, with a few light dings and sharp checkering. The holster shows some fading and scuffing but is otherwise excellent. Mechanically excellent.
