Manufactured circa 1935-1936 on contract for the government of Persia in both "P.08" and "Artillery" configurations, only a limited number of these Persian Lugers have been seen on the American market. Fixed sights, with the Persian Lion on the chamber, "crown/crown/U" and "crown" proofs, and straw finished small parts. The original Farsi serial number (transliterated: 1784) is present on the receiver, barrel and frame, with the matching final 2 digits on multiple parts, minus the grips (unnumbered) and replacement magazine (mixed). The takedown lever is marked "74," and the hold open is unnumbered. Fitted with a pair of checkered grips and a blue finished alloy base magazine. Includes a unique brown leather holster with an oval Farsi/Arabic marked brand on the flap.

Fine, with 60% of the original blue finish and 40% original straw, showing areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks. The grips are very good, with a chip absent near the safety lever, dings, scuffs and dark spots. The holster is very good, with stitching loss, cracking, and some damage to the hardware. Mechanically excellent.
