Manufactured in Spain, the War Model Danton is an upscaled variant of the "Ruby" pistol of World War One fame. This particular example has been finely decorated with a damascene gold overlay, mainly in the form of broad dotted borders and multicolored floral designs. In a nod to practicality, the grip straps, controls, and sight channel are left in the original blue. Fixed sights, with "AUTOMATIC PISTOL WAR MODEL CAL 7.65 (.32)/DANTON" PATENT 70724 -TESTED-" on the left side of the slide and "MADE/IN/SPAIN" on the heel of the grip frame. The grip panels are marked "DANTON" in banners at the tops with an intertwined "CG" at the bottom. A magazine well safety device is installed.

Excellent, with 90% plus original blue and 98% gold damascene finish, showing some mild handling marks and a small amount of spotting on the grip straps. The overlay and decoration is very well executed. The grips are very fine, with some handling marks and a bit of bottom grip outward warpage. Mechanically excellent.
