The Norwegian Kongsberg Model 1914 was a modified copy of the U.S. Model 1911 pistol used by the Norwegian army. These pistols are nearly identical to the Colt Model 1911. This Model 1914 is a pattern gun featuring a slide dated "1918" on the right side. The left side of the slide is marked with the early model 1914 caliber, model, and serial number marking with the monogram of King Haakon and the Kongsberg Crest. Inspection mark under the date. Matching serial numbers found on frame, slide, trigger, safety, mainspring housing, grip safety, hammer, ejector, firing pin stop, magazine catch, barrel bushing, and slide release. Barrel linkage marked "SP" on the left and "J3S" on the right.
Very good, retaining 40% partially refinished blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. The replacement grips are very good with a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
