The Remington No. 7 was manufactured c. 1903-1906 and had a total production of only about 1,000. This model is quickly identified by its accentuated checkered pistol grip stock. This rifle features a part octagon barrel marked with the one-line Remington Arms Co. address on the top flat, a gilt Beach combination globe and blade front sight, "H" on the left at the breech, "22 L.R." on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the forearm as well as "304 22 LR G2." on the bottom under the forearm, "P S" along with the two-line patent marking on the left side of the frame, folding peep sight on the rear of the frame, checkered forearm with ebony forend insert and "304" on the rear, and pronounced pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and checkered hard rubber buttplate with embossed Remington monogram.

Excellent with 95% plus original blue finish, 85% plus original vibrant case colors, and minor age and storage related wear. The wood is also very fine and has crisp checkering, light scratches and dings, and some discoloration at the butt. Mechanically excellent. This is a very attractive example of one of the rarest and most distinctive Remington Rolling Blocks chambered for the ever popular .22 LR cartridge.
