Description:

These portrait paintings depict Josiah Boardman Scoville and his wife Anna Saxe. According to the label on the back of Scoville's portrait he served as a Corporal in the War of 1812. The portraits feature gold painted wooden matting and a gold painted wooden frame with decorative carving. The frames and paintings both measure 20 1/2 inches by 18 inches.

Rating Definition:

Both portraits are very fine with clear images and some light crazing. Frames are fine with age cracks overall.
