Description:

Offered here is a powder flask for the early production Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver with square back trigger guard and screw beneath the wedge. The body features a stand of flags (includes a Texas Lone Star flag on the right), cannon, ship anchors, crossed Paterson carbines and a revolver over "COLTS PATENT" in a banner. The design is on one side. The plunger type spout is similar to the design used on Walker and Dragoon flasks and is marked "24 GRS." Silver top and lacquer finished body. This is the civilian version as it lacks the hanging rings used on the U.S. government purchased pattern.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, 85% original lacquer remains on the body. A well above average condition Colt powder flask for your square back trigger guard Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver. A must have for the serious Colt collector.
