Manufactured in 1930 and subsequently extensively embellished by the famed shop of "America's Master Gunsmith" Frank Pachmayr. Dual white bead sights on the matted, solid rib which is marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. Invincible by Pachmayr". The barrels featured 3 1/2 inch wedges of beautiful floral scrollwork and gold inlaid lines with a gold pheasant on the left and a gold mallard on the right over the 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The casehardened, sideclipped boxlock action features attractive carved fences along with the extensive engraving of floral designs and scroll surrounding a plethora of gold inlay work. The left side of the receiver shows a gold pheasant in flight with bouquets, the underside shows a grouse displaying full plumage bordered in more gold beneath "PARKER BROS" also in gold, and the right side has a gold mallard with yet more golden bouquets. Gold plated double triggers, skeletonized top lever, and manual tang mounted safety switch with gold inlaid "SAFE". Highly figured, fancy fleur-de-lis checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release and pistol grip stock with gold grip cap marked with tear drop carved flats, an "MAA" monogram, and a skeleton buttplate over a checkered bare butt. Includes a matching set of extra barrels which measure 28 inches with 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Barrel measurements for the extra set (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .740/.739 inches; choke constriction .006/.000 inches; minimum wall thickness .026/.027 inches. Excellent as masterfully embellished by the shop of Frank Pachmayr, retaining 99% blue, gold, and casehardened finishes with only minor handling evidence. The wood is very fine with scattered light dings with some concentration at the toe and scratches and sharp checkering. The extra barrel set is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
