Manufactured in 1932 with the standard two-line address and patent marking on top of the barrel, model and caliber marking on the left, and Rampant Colt on the left of the frame. Both grip straps have what appears to be factory special order checkering. It is fitted with blade and frame notch sights, checkered trigger and hammer, lanyard loop on the butt, and a pair of period installed non-factory pearl grips, the right panel having a relief carved steer head. Includes a floral tooled Heiser leather holster that is faintly retailer stamped "VL&A/CHICAGO". Provenance: The Doug Ellison Collection
Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original blue finish with some very light muzzle/edge wear, some scattered light handling marks, and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and a few dark age lines on the butts. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with some mild wear.
