Manufactured in 1943. Single steel bead sight on the four-hole heat shield/bayonet adapter, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and a cylinder choke. The top of the barrel is marked with the "flaming bomb" proof followed by the Winchester oval "WP" proof at the breech. The right side of the receiver is marked with the "U.S. flaming bomb" roll mark. "JEFFERSON/TOWNSHIP/POLICE" has been electro-penciled into the underside of the magazine collar; no information on this marking was provided, and research shows a Jefferson Township in both New Jersey and Ohio. The metal components have been finished in a tenifer-style semi-gloss overcoat, including the interior of the receiver and part of the bore. Ribbed forearm and smooth pistol grip stock, with "G.H.D./flaming bomb" proofs on the left side of the buttstock, tan canvas Nobuckl sling, checkered buttplate and a 14 inch length of pull. Includes the Department of the Army technical manual "Field and Depot Maintenance Winchester Riot-Type Shotgun M12 and Stevens Riot-Type Shotguns M520-30 and M620A," TM9-2117.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% of the semi-gloss teflon refurbished finish, showing mild scuffs and scratches overall, a few spots of exposed brown steel on the receiver, and bright wear on some of the bearing surfaces. The reoiled stock is fine, with a number of scuffs and dents, an undersized buttplate, and minor chipping at the toe. Mechanically excellent.
