Manufactured from 1893 to 1936. Pinched front sight with bead and adjustable notch "v" rear sight on a barrel marked with the two line address (without the patent dates), "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL", and "30-30". The top of the receiver is marked "MARLIN SAFETY" and the upper tang is marked "Marlin/MODEL 93". Blue finished with casehardened receiver, lever and buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Fine. The barrel and magazine retain 85% original blue finish with some scattered pin prick pitting. The receiver and lever retain 70% original case colors fading to a gray patina with some speckled discoloration. The buttplate has a gray patina. The wood is fine with some minor dings and scratches, with the buttstock ill-fitting at the frame. Mechanically excellent.
