Manufactured in 1917. There is a Winchester factory oval proof visible on the receiver ring along with the ".30/ARMY" caliber marking. The left side of the receiver has the standard two-line Winchester address and patent markings ending in 1907 as well as a saddle ring stud and saddle ring. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model and trademark information, and the serial number is on the lower tang along with "B" at the tail. It is fitted with pinned blade front and folding ladder rear sights, the latter graduated from 3-18. It is mounted with a grooved forearm, military style handguard, and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent plus, retains 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish with some faint thinning on the barrel band and buttplate, some storage grease residue on the receiver and magazine, and a few small scattered patches of very light surface pitting on the right of the barrel. The oil-finished stock and forearm are also excellent plus with few very minor handling or storage marks. This is an exceptional example of a Winchester Model 1895 carbine in outstanding condition!
