Manufactured from the late 1870s to 1880s. This example features a rare and extensive factory floral and scroll engraving along with a landscape panel scene on the left side plate. The serial number is on the butt, and the assembly number "9115" is on the grip frame, cylinder and barrel. It has the two-line H&A address/patent dates marking on the rib, loading gate, two-line MH&Co. address on the left side of the frame, "38 CAL" on the right side of the frame, lanyard ring on the butt, and dog head embossed grips.
Excellent, retaining 95% original nickel finish with flaking on the balance. The engraving is crisp. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
