Description:

Manufactured 1881-1882, towards the end of production, only an estimated 270 of these iron framed knuckleduster revolvers were produced. The serial number is marked on the butt of the frame, and the rear face of the cylinder is marked "92". The cylinder pin is unnumbered and may be a replacement. This example is completely nickel plated, a rare finish, and shows the standard leafy scroll engraving on the grip area and frame. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good, retains half of the period replated nickel finish with the balance having thinned to reveal a smooth grey patina, some scattered patches of light pitting, and mostly crisp engraving. The mainspring is slightly weak, otherwise mechanically fine.
