This particular carbine is the standard weight version as opposed to the baby carbine. Colt manufactured 1,219 standard carbines. Features a 20 inch barrel, full length magazine tube, blade front and folding ladder rear sights, two-line address/patent dates barrel marking, Rampant Colt and saddle ring on the left side of the receiver, and carbine stock with carbine buttplate with empty compartment. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel and magazine retain 20% faded original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance and some light pitting mostly on the magazine. The frame retains 40% original blue finish, strongest on the lower tang, with the balance as smooth brown patina. The lightly sanded, refinished wood is also very good with some minor handling marks and the buttplate proud at toe. Mechanically excellent.
