Manufactured in 1879. The top of the barrel has the two line Hartford address with the left side of the barrel having the acid etched "COLT NEW 38" panel. The underside of the barrel has the patent date and serial number. The left side of the frame is marked "38 CAL C." The grips are numbered to another gun. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Excellent. The cylinder and barrel retain 90% bright original blue finish. The acid etched panel is excellent. The frame retains 80% original vivid case colors. The grips are very fine with high edge wear and a number of minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
