Description:

This model was manufactured c. 1896-1930s and was available with a variety of special features. This rifle has a non-engraved No. 44 1/2 action marked "49 0" on the front face under the forend, globe front sight, rear sight filler block, elevation adjustable tang peepsight, spurred lever with walnut grips, adjustable double set triggers, matching serial numbers, checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with high comb, cheek rest, and Swiss buttplate. Rating Definition:

Very fine with 97% plus professionally restored blue and 95% original casehardened finish, light edge and handling wear, and a few minor marks. The wood is very fine and has crisp checkering, two filled holes from mounting a palm rest on the forearm, thin cracks and repair at the tip of the grip, and light handling and storage marks. Mechanically excellent.
