Description:

The Ideal No. 44 was manufactured c. 1894-1933. Features a nickel-silver "Rocky Mountain" blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, smooth Schnabel forearm and straight wrist buttstock, and crescent steel buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% plus original blue and casehardened finish overall, some fading to smooth gray and brown patina mainly on the barrel, spots of minor oxidation, and generally minor overall wear. The buttstock is fine and has some light scratches and dings and retains most of the original finish. The forearm is very good with some chipping and hairline cracks concentrated at the tip. Mechanically fine.
