The upper left side of the frame ahead of the hammer is marked with an "eagle head/S18" inspection mark. The butt is marked ""U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917/No/104/879". The frame and crane are marked "258700". Fitted with smooth walnut grips and lanyard swivel on the butt. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
Excellent. The revolver retains 98% plus original blue finish with a couple areas of minor spotting on the barrel and some light spotting on the cylinder. There is a faint drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with a couple tiny dings on the lower edges and overall light handling marks. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent.
