Collector's Lot of Two Remington Model No. 4 Rolling Block Single Shot Takedown Rifles
A) Remington Model No. 4 Rifle
Beaded blade front and fixed rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate.
Good, retaining 95% reapplied blue finish which shows a brown patination, light handling evidence, a crack coming off the top tang, and a few light dings and scratches in the wood. Mechanically excellent.
B) Remington Model No. 4 Rifle
Beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate. Provenance: The Milan J. Turk Collection
Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish turning a brownish hue, 80% case colors with some darkening, and light handling evidence. The wood is very good with some dark spots and scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
