Blued Special Smokeless Steel barrel with single steel bead sight, standard markings, serial number "101140", and choke measured full. The blued action displays beautiful scroll engraving surrounding four mallards in flight on the left and a pair of pigeons on the right (bolt). Nicely figured, multi-point checkered forend and semi-pistol grip stock with hard rubber Marlin buttplate. Very good, retaining 40% original blue finish with the balance a mix of brown and grey patina, some scattered light oxidation, and mild handling evidence. The wood is also very good with numerous dings and scratches on the butt and worn but well-defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
