Description:

This framed scene shows a woman standing in the garden of an early American Estate. The woman is standing on the bank of a pond beneath a weeping willow tree. In front of her is a stone altar reading "In memory of/Mrs. Hannah Sargent who/died November 15th, 1788/AE.30". The piece is housed in a simple gold frame. The frame and artwork measure 15 1/2 inches by 18 1/2 inches.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with some fading of the dyes and a few stains near the top. The frame is very fine as well with limited storage and handling marks.
