Description:

This large bronze clock features a depiction of two women partaking in the festivities of an ancient Greek festival with their arms outstretched above them supporting a platter, upon which rests Cupid. The clock itself rests upon an Ionic pillar with gargoyle like masks at the bottom on either side. The legs of these creatures create the legs of the clock. The front of the base has two vases of fruit which create the other legs, and between them is a blank inscription plaque. The clock face features the hours in brass Roman numerals and brass hands. The clock measures 29 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and 14 inches deep.

Rating Definition:

Good. The majority of the metal surfaces are covered in a dark patina with some bright spots where handling has occurred. The front and rear of the clock housing have a crack forming at the top, a repair to one of the women's arms, and one of the gargoyle legs absent on the right side. Mechanically the clock is untested.
