Manufactured in 1921. These N.R.A. muskets were made to comply with the specifications of the National Rifle Association of America's "any military arm" matches with special 24 inch barrels, Krag style rear sights, and special flat buttplates. This example has standard markings including a Winchester factory oval proof on the receiver ring above ".30/GOV./'06" caliber marking. The musket also features a pinned blade front sight, a folding ladder rear sight graduated to 1,800 years, bayonet lug on the underside of the barrel band, and a musket stock with finger grooved forearm. With a leather sling. Provenance: The George Moller Collection
Fine, retaining 60% plus original blue finish with thinning to brown on the balance. The wood is also fine with a divot on the forearm and some minor dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
