Description:

This is an excellent example of a Model 1906 Commercial American Eagle 9 mm Luger that was manufactured by DWM. This model was intended for sale in Europe and Germany and it has the short 3 7/8 inch barrel chambered in the 9mm Luger cartridge. This model has the correct short style frame and upper receiver with the 1906 style checkered flat toggles, grip safety and polished lower safety area. The top of the chamber is blank and it has the DWM logo on the front toggle. The extractor is also correctly marked "GELADEN". It has the correct commercial style full serial number stamped on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame with the last two digits (41) stamped on the various small parts. The underside of the barrel is also stamped with faint "Crown" "B", "G" and "U" commercial proofs. It has a wonderful rust blued finish and straw colored small parts and it fitted with checkered walnut grips. The left grip is numbered "41" and the right one is unnumbered. It is complete with a correct nickel plated magazine marked "Cal 9m/m" in script on wooden base.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% plus of the original blue finish with only minor edge and high spot wear. The various smaller parts retain 75% of their straw colors. The grips are in exceptionally fine condition with nice distinct checkering overall with only minor handling marks with the upper rear corner of the left grip showing an old repair. Mechanically excellent.
