When it was introduced in 1966, the standard PA-15 pistol manufactured by M.A.B. dethroned the Browning High-Power as largest capacity semi-automatic pistol on the market. From then until 1982, approximately 100,000 of the standard model were produced, with far less of the upgraded F1 target model like this example having been manufactured. Some of these pistols are reported to have been used by French shooting teams, and very few were ever imported into the U.S. The left side of the slide is marked with the standard M.A.B. markings and the left is marked "MODELE PA-15". The right of the frame is marked "PA.15.M1" followed by the serial number and there is a small "crown/shield" proof on the right of the trigger guard. Fitted with tall blade front and fully adjustable rear notch sights, serrated adjustable trigger, serrated hammer, serrated grip straps, and a pair of checkered walnut grips. Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original blue finish with a few scattered light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
