Description:

The Colt Python was designed by Colt to be the top of the line model in Colt revolvers. Originally designed to be a target revolver in .38 special, these revolvers gained wide recognition in most gun circles due to the use of all hand fit parts allowing for a supremely accurate and robust revolver. Almost immediately, the Colt Python found popularity with the likes of competition shooters and law enforcement. The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 6 inch barrel chambered in .357 magnum with a royal blue finish and stocks not listed when shipped to Badger Shooters Supply in Owen, Wisconsin on January 27, 1956. Includes a matching number Colt two-piece "woodgrain" box, warranty card, and "Handling the Handgun" pamphlet.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue with limited handling marks, a faint cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering on the excellent grips. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks and repaired corners.
