Manufactured in 1877 with standard features, the two-line address on top of the barrel, the left side of the barrel unmarked as found on only the earliest examples, and the serial number on the bottom along with British proofs which are repeated on the cylinder. The caliber marking is on the left of the frame, and the matching serial number is on the left of the grip frame under the grip, inside both grips, bottom of the barrel, and "390" on the rear face of the cylinder, which may be a factory error. Includes a hardwood case with Colt London Agency interior label that is also hand stamped "CAPTAIN FALLS/ROYAL MARINES/J.U.8", cleaning rod, and eight .41 CF cartridges.

Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original nickel finish with a small patch of light pitting on the right at the muzzle and some scattered light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case exterior is fine with some scratches visible on the lid, minor handling/storage marks on the balance, and the lining and label both fine.
