Manufactured in 1902 with standard Colt markings including the desirable "44 RUSSIAN CTG." marking on the left of the barrel and Rampant Colt on the left of the frame surrounded by "COLT'S/NEW SERVICE". It is fitted with fixed blade and frame notch sights, checkered hammer and cylinder latch, and checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" within ovals at the top. The lanyard ring stud hole on the butt has been filled with a peened in piece of brass.

Very fine, the butt retains most of the cold blue touch up where the lanyard ring stud whole has been filled; otherwise, the revolver retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and at the muzzle. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
