Garten of the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, and a Freedom of Information Act sheet is also included of Kenneth L. Garten indicating he was active in U.S. Army service between November 28th, 1966-March 1st, 1973 and received various medals. This rifle features the serial number and "star 1" factory marking on the receiver. Hooded post front and elevation adjustable (Russian marked) rear sights, and folding knife bayonet. Matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt carrier, and on the stock. Includes brown canvas sling.

Rating Definition:

Very good, retaining 20% original blue finish in protected areas with smooth brown patina and scattered light to moderate pitting on the balance indicative of jungle use. Stock is good as sanded and re-oiled with scattered light scratches and dents, and some holes and an outline where a plaque used to be on the left of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent.
