Blued Cockerill Stahl barrel with single silver plated bead sight and a 70 mm (2 3/4 inch) chamber. The barrel is adorned with gold inlaid markings reading "FABRIQUE NATIONALE/DEUTSCHE WAFFENFABRIK GEORG KNAAK, BERLIN S W 48", "COCKERILL STAHL", and "MODELO UNICO" as well as floral scroll engraving surrounding a gold inlaid coronet over a two headed eagle which appears to be the Coat of Arms of the city of Toledo, Spain. The blued receiver is engraved with floral scroll which covers 60% of the surface and surrounds silver plated screws and most of the small parts. The trigger guard and magazine cover are made of cast silver and display the same floral scroll with what appears to be the crest of one of the Spanish Dukedoms from the pre-Spanish Civil War era. Beautifully figured, fancy carved forend with engraved silver fittings and a silver sling swivel as well as the pistol grip stock which has a raised cheek piece, "RM" monogram in a gold inscription shield, engraved silver grip cap, silver sling swivel, and deeply carved silver buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 15 inch length of pull; weight 9 lbs. 9 oz.

Very fine as professionally upgraded, retaining 95% blue finish mixed with oxidation. The wood is very good with dings and scratches and overall crisp checkering. Does not hold open on empty, otherwise mechanically very good.
