Blued Phoenix Stahl barrels with single steel bead sight on the matted, flat solid rib which is marked with a gold "1" at the breech end, "WIRNHIER-JAGD" marked on the left barrel, Italian proofs, and chambers proved at 70 mm (2 3/4 inches) with automatic ejectors. The satin finished, scalloped boxlock action displays floral scroll engraving that extends to the trigger guard and toplever, which is also marked with a gold "1". The gun features double triggers, bushed firing pins, and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with engraved Anson button release and gold "1" marked shoe as well as the straight grip stock with Decelerator rubber recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.5 mm (.728 inches) and .730/.728 inches; choke constriction .014/.019 inches; minimum wall thickness .025/.028 inches; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 3/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.

Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish, a few areas of minor discoloration on the action, and minor handling evidence. The trigger has been refinished. The refinished wood is very fine with a filled hole towards the toe, scattered minor dings and scratches and mostly sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
