Marlin manufactured approximately 125,000 Model 1897s (Model '97) between 1897 and 1917. It was redesignated the Model 39 in 1922 which is still in production. This rifle features a beaded blade front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight, casehardened takedown receiver, and straight grip stock.
