Description:

Manufactured in 1942, this Model 1903 pistol has the two-line address/patent marking and Rampant Colt on the left of the slide and the caliber marking on the right. The chamber of the barrel, slide near the ejector port, and right of the frame have standard British proofs. The right side of the frame has the U.S. property marking while the serial number is on the left. It has standard features and is fitted with checkered grips with Colt medallions. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration as well as shipment to the U.S. government port transportation officer in Brooklyn, New York on 4 December 1944.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original parkerized finish with a few scattered areas of light wear having thinned to a smooth grey patina and some very light edge wear. The dark grips are also excellent with a few minor blemishes/flat spots in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
