Description:

The grouping includes a number of Glider and Parachute Badges (both official pattern and service commemorative), a Combat Infantry Badge, five artillery collar badges (one marked "602"), a brass ring inscribed "SICILY/1943", Army-Navy "E" production pin, six rank insignia (one 1st lieutenant, 5 captain), and multiple patches, including a 4 1/4" diameter round patch for the 460th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion. The 460th saw action in Italy, Southern France and the Ardennes Forest, airdropping for Operation Dragoon. Provenance: The Putnam Green/Sycamore Collection
