Description:

Manufactured in 1944. Blade front and "S" marked Type I flip-up rear sight, undated Winchester "W" barrel, Type II barrel band, milled trigger guard marked "3" on the side, "EW" pushbutton safety, "W" magazine catch, "W" hammer, "W" operating rod and "W" blued finish flat top bolt. Low wood stock with "W" marked stock inlet and "W.R.A./G.H.D." behind crossed cannons cartouche on the right of the buttstock, and unmarked four-rivet handguard. Includes extra magazine, reproduction "U.S." marked canvas carry case, and reproduction "U.S." marked double magazine pouch.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining 98% original parkerized finish with light loss in the operating rod track, 95% original blue finish on the bolt, some scattered light freckling on the buttplate, and crisp markings in the metal. Stock is also excellent with attractive original raised grain and rich oil finish, some light handling marks, defined edges, and crisp stampings. Mechanically excellent.
