Blued steel barrels with single bead sight (broken) on the smooth, concave solid rib, "JOSEPH LANG & SON. 102, NEW BOND STREET. LONDON" and "ABERCROMBIE & FITCH Co. NEW YORK. U.S.A." marked on the right and left respectively, light engraving at the breeches, choke constrictions of .005/.010 inches, and "FOR 2 3/4 SHELL" marked below the forend. The casehardened key detachable sidelock action display floral scroll engraving surrounding three gold inlaid hunting dog scenes with a setter on the left, a setter and pointer on the right, and a bust of a setter on the underside. The gun features a single trigger and tang mounted automatic safety with gold inlaid "SAFE". Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings, including the Anson button release, and straight grip stock with teardrop flats and Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. Includes a Joseph Lang & Son takedown case with sidelock key, snap caps, oiler, and cleaning tools. Stock measurements: 1 11/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/4 inch drop at heel; 14 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs 11 oz.
