Manufactured in 1985 as one of only 200 rifles to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Weatherby company. The sightless barrel is marked "USE ONLY/WEATHERBY/7mm W.M." on the left of the chamber. Only 35 of the 200 rifles were chambered in 7mm Weatherby Magnum. The receiver has all of the standard Mark V markings with "40th YEAR COMMEMORATIVE" on the floorplate with intertwining lines. Mounted in a nicely figured pistol grip walnut stock with laser carved floral decorations, rosewood nose cap and pistol grip cap with maple diamond insert, a brass plate on the right side of the butt reading "Weatherby/40TH/ANNIVERSARY/1945-1985/1 OF 200", and brown ventilated Weatherby recoil pad. Includes a red leather carry case.

Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with very minimal handling marks, protective coating remaining on the bolt handle. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with a few minor storage and handling marks.
