The Model 39 was the first 9 mm double action, semi-automatic pistol produced in the U.S. Steel frame models, like this example, were first introduced in 1954-1955, but not assembled or sold until 1966, with only 927 manufactured. Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and a partial takedown scratch on the frame. Grips are very fine with overall sharp checkering, a few dings and scratches, and some bubbling of the varnish on the left grip. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with scattered storage and handling marks and some flaking.
