Description:

"JQ" blade front sight and "S" two-position flip rear sight, with an Underwood "8-43" barrel, unmarked Type I barrel band, "S" and "GE-O" marked rear sight base, "EM-Q" blued finish flat top bolt, detachable operating rod spring guide, "Q-NL" milled trigger guard, "LT-Q" hammer, unmarked push button safety and an "LT-Q" magazine catch. "RMC" two-rivet handguard and high wood stock marked "Q-RMC" in the sling inlet and with the "crossed cannons" cartouche on the right, and "QU" magazine. Includes a tan canvas sling. Initials "RND" carved into the left of the stock. Includes a tan canvas sling and oiler. Provenance: The Steven Preston Military Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% plus original parkerized finish with some areas of light thinning, scattered light freckling with some patches of very light pitting, and sharp markings in the metal. 80% original blue finish remains on the bolt. 97% original blue finish remains on the magazine. Stock is fine with defined edges, numerous scattered light scratches and dents, a noticeable re-glued cracked section on the right below the operating rod, and carving as mentioned above. Mechanically excellent.
