Description:

"S" marked blade front sight and "S" marked two-leaf rear sight, with an Underwood "7-43" barrel, Type I barrel band, "STANDARD/PRODUCTS" heel plate, "4/S" blued finish flat top bolt, "36" operating rod, "S" milled trigger guard, "N" hammer, unmarked push button safety, "SW" magazine catch, and "IA" magazine. Two-rivet "RSG" marked handguard, smooth low wood stock with "RSG" marked in the sling inlet, oval oiler cut, and a checkered buttplate. Includes an olive drab green canvas sling. Provenance: The Steven Preston Military Collection

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 85% original parkerized finish on the receiver with sharp markings, 60% partially refinished blue finish on the bolt, 70% refinished blue finish on the barrel with partially faded markings, and 95% original blue finish on the magazine. Stock is also fine as sanded and re-oiled with some light scratches and slightly undersized around the trigger guard. Mechanically excellent.
