Description:

Manufactured from 1943-1945 with fixed blade and notch sights, "PROPERTY OF U.S.A." on top of the barrel, and "PROPERTY OF/U.S." on the right side of the frame. Standard address, caliber, and model markings on the left side of the frame and slide with a serrated trigger and checkered exposed hammer. Includes a correct factory box hand numbered to the gun, instructions, instruction tag, an extra magazine, and oil bottle. Provenance: The Steven Preston Military Collection

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retains 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish with some light muzzle wear and some scattered light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered light blemishes and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear, mostly on edges and corners.
