Manufactured in 1918. "R/flaming bomb/8-18" marked barrel with blade front and adjustable ladder and peep rear sights, standard receiver markings with double "eagle head" proofs on top of the left receiver rail, and a single "flaming bomb" proof on the side. "R" and "flaming bomb" marked bolt. Smooth pistol grip stock with "R" marked at the nose, finger grooves, "eagle head/339" proof ahead of the floorplate, "eagle head/300" behind the trigger guard, and smooth trapdoor buttplate. Includes Kerr Nobuckl canvas sling.

Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with some loss on the bolt, some areas turning to a smooth brown, and some areas of light surface corrosion. Stock is also excellent with attractive raised grain and rich oil finish, some light scratches, a small spliced and repaired rectangular section at the right of the forend, and crisp grasping grooves and stampings. Mechanically excellent.
