Description:

Manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker (qve) on a rough forged receiver marked "K. 43 qve 45" on the left. Hooded blade front sight and military tangent rear sight graduated from 100-1200. The bolt carrier is fitted with a reinforcing web, hollow cocking handle, and lacks provision for a bolt catch. Right side mounting rail, unthreaded muzzle, "aye" code magazine, and cupped trapdoor buttplate. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip laminated stock. Matching serial number marked on the receiver, bolt carrier, and bottom of the buttstock. The left of the scope body is marked "Gw ZF4/18117/ddx." ahead of a blue-filled triangle. "1118" and "eagle/214" marked scope base. Includes a brown leather sling, and reproduction leather/cork lens protector set. Provenance: The Steven Preston Military Collection

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% plus original combination blue/phosphate finish with areas of smooth brown patina and some light freckling. Magazine retains 70% original black painted finish with scattered chipping and scratches. Stock is also very fine with some light scratches and handling marks, a mild crack on top of the rear half of the handguard, an applied yellow paint stripe visible on the right of the buttstock, and clear markings. Mechanically excellent.
