Features blade front and Lawrence patent rear sights. Matching serial number "C,25882" marked on the upper receiver tang and underside of the barrel. Single letter ordnance sub-inspection marks stamped on some components. "E.A.W" inspection initials marked on the left of the barrel at the breech. "A.W.M" inspection initials on the underside flat of the forearm, sideplate and ahead of the buttplate tang. Two boxed script "TWR" (Thomas W. Russell) inspection cartouches stamped on the left stock wrist.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retains 60% thinning original blue finish and 40% plus original case colors, strongest in protected areas, with smooth brown patina on the balance and sharp markings and edges in the metal. Wood is also fine as re-oiled with defined edges, scattered light handling marks and dents, and crisp cartouches. Mechanically excellent.
